The holiday season is almost here, and I’m so excited to welcome families back to my San Marcos photography studio for 2026 Christmas Mini Sessions in San Diego!
Christmas photos are some of my favorite sessions of the year. They’re a chance to slow down during the busy holiday season, have some fun together, and create beautiful family portraits that can become Christmas cards, gifts for grandparents, framed artwork, and memories you’ll keep for years.
This year, I’m creating three completely different Christmas photo zones, so you’ll have plenty of variety within one session—from elegant and timeless family portraits to cozy, playful photos of the kids.
2026 Christmas Mini Session – $350
Each Christmas Mini Session includes:
30-minute photography session
10 beautifully retouched digital images
Access to 3 Christmas photo zones
Family portraits, children’s portraits, sibling photos, individual portraits, and different family combinations
Christmas props included
Sessions available on weekends

🎄 Classic Christmas
An elegant and timeless Christmas setting featuring deep green tones, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, holiday lights, and sophisticated seasonal details.
This setup is perfect for a more polished family Christmas portrait. Deep greens, creams, whites, golds, and other classic holiday colors will photograph beautifully here.
❄️ Winter Wonderland
A soft and dreamy Christmas scene inspired by a snowy winter outdoors. Imagine your family gathered beneath a snow-covered tree surrounded by soft textures, winter greenery, lanterns, gifts, and warm glowing lights.
This setup has a beautiful neutral palette and works wonderfully for both full-family portraits and sweet photos of the children together.
🕯️ Cozy Christmas at Home
Warm, relaxed, playful, and full of Christmas charm! This photo zone is designed to feel like a cozy Christmas morning at home.
It’s a wonderful place to capture those less formal moments—kids having fun, siblings together, parents with their children, and all the little expressions that make your family unique.
During your session, we can create portraits of the whole family, just the kids, each child individually, parents together, mom with the kids, dad with the kids, siblings, or any other combination you would like.
What to Wear for Your Christmas Mini Sessions in San Diego
Because there are three different setups, I recommend choosing outfits that coordinate well with the overall Christmas palette. Deep green, burgundy, cream, white, beige, brown, gold, and other warm neutral tones are all beautiful choices.
You don’t have to dress everyone identically. Coordinating colors and textures usually photograph much better than perfectly matching outfits.
And don’t forget about the little details—shoes, socks, bows, headbands, and accessories will all be visible in many of the photographs.
