The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and I’m thrilled to open Christmas Family Mini Sessions in San Diego at my cozy studio on the Carlsbad–San Marcos border. These minis are fast, fun, and stress-free—perfect for holiday cards, gifts for grandparents, and a keepsake your family will treasure.

Two Festive Sets (Plus a Bonus for Kids!)

1) Warm Fireplace (dark & cozy)Twinkle lights, evergreens, wood textures, and a classic Christmas tree for that storybook feel. Pairs beautifully with jewel tones, creams, deep reds/greens, and plaid.

2) White Winter Classic (bright & airy)Soft whites, frosted greens, candles, and knit textures for a clean, timeless look. Neutrals, metallics (gold/silver), and soft pastels photograph beautifully here.

Bonus kids’ setup: a Christmas swing or a cozy rattan sofa on a snowy white backdrop—perfect for solo portraits of little ones (and yes, well-mannered pups are welcome!).

What to Wear (Quick Guide)

• Choose 2–3 coordinating colors with one neutral (cream/white, beige, denim, gray) and one festive tone (deep red, forest green, gold).

• Mix textures (knits, velvet, linen, tweed) for visual interest; avoid large logos and neon colors.

• For the fireplace set, rich tones and plaids look amazing.

• For the white set, creams, whites, soft grays, gold/silver accents, or subtle pastels are perfect.

• Comfortable kids = happy photos. If you want a quick PJ shot, keep it simple—minis move fast.

How to Prepare

• Arrive a few minutes early. Minis run back-to-back; late arrivals shorten session time.

• Phones away while we shoot. They pull little eyes off the camera.

• Fresh faces & tidy details. Quick wipe for noses; brush hair; remove watches/hair ties to avoid marks.

• Pets: bring a leash and a small treat.

• Safety & care: please supervise kiddos around sets and props so everything stays beautiful for the next families.

FAQs

How many people can join? Immediate family works best for minis. If you’d like to include grandparents or extended family, ask me about a longer session.

Can we bring our dog? Yes! Friendly, leashed pets are welcome in the studio. Please bring a lint roller and a small treat.

Can we do outfit changes? Minis are short; a quick layer swap or adding festive PJs is possible but uses your session time.

How many images will I see? Your proof gallery will include a variety of family and children’s portraits from which you’ll choose your 6 favorites (with options to upgrade).

What if my child is shy? No pressure—gentle prompts and play help kids warm up quickly. Natural smiles are the goal!

What if someone is sick? Please let me know as soon as possible; we’ll review reschedule options based on availability.
